What makes Rose Carleo so special is, ironically, the fact that she’s just like everyone else.
Well, apart from the fact that she has a rare ability to take those experiences we’ve all lived through, and turn them into remarkable songs with a universal appeal.
Then she opens her mouth and conveys the pain, the passion and the emotion of her songs in a way that touches everyone who hears them.

As per my last newsletter, Michael Fix and I have just finished recording an CD "Reach Out" in support of Suicide Awareness and its now hot off the press and available for sale. Suicide Awareness is a not-for-profit organisation that helps those suffering depression or considering self-harm. Its goal is to raise awareness that it's OK to ask for help.
The CD features 3 vocals & 2 instrumental tracks including the title song & a new acoustic recording of "Everything I Need", both Carleo/Fix compositions. The title track "Reach Out To Me" will be released to radio via NfS 125 this week.
Some great news... Rose is a finalist for the 'Capital News Australian Independant Rising Star Female' category at the 2008 Southern Stars - Australian Independant Country Music Awards in Mildura this year.
"I'm very honoured and excited to be in such great company for this prestigious award along with Kelly Llewellyn, Jayne Denham and Kelly Hope".. Rose said. The winners will be announced at the annual Mildura Country Music Festival on Saturday the 4th October, 2008.
